The EP 0 489 455 relates to a rail vehicle wheel, for example for a tramway. From prior art it was known to use rubber fillings in a V-shaped compartment that was formed between a wheel centre and a flange tyre to reduce the emitted noise. The inventor noticed that the known rubber fillings, for example two separate, substantially Z-formed rings, which were mounted contiguously, offered relatively low resiliency in radial direction.
